Remember the first time you stepped inside Joplin Senior High? For most of us, it was the first day of our sophomore year of high school in September, 1961. After coming from North or South or East, JHS looked pretty darn intimidating—and, initially, navigating our way around the hallways was equally scary.
Fast forward 50+ years and we find ourselves on the newly created Joplin Senior High School’s “Class of 1964” website. Hopefully, navigating through the “virtual hallways” of this site will be far less daunting than that early “How will I ever find my way around!” experience was. Our website is designed in an easy “user-friendly” way to communicate classmate news and to give you a glimpse of what’s going on in-and-around Joplin—especially for those who are no longer in the area but are interested in what’s happening in the community. And, it’s a great way to stay connected with classmates from our years at JHS. You’ll find the class newsletter on this site—published 4 times a year and archived for easy reading and retrieval. And, that’s what this website is all about—making it easy for you to communicate class news and to add comments or offer suggestions about any topics published on the website or in the newsletter. And, a short bio would be an ideal way to share what’s been going on with you since graduation or just to allow a peek into your recent past and/or present.
